His Creation

New light, new creation,

The dawn of a new life, is where you are and where you start,

And like in the vacancy of a newly sculpted vase,

Your life was created, not in your own power or will,

But by one much higher, to be used and to be filled.

No, this life that we have is not our own, it was given to us as a gift,

And it’s for that reason, that if it’s not being used for its purpose,

Then its existence, is pointless.

Look around, what has this generation really become?

Predators it would seem, only on the hunt for these fleeting moments and material possessions,

I mean, we’ve got to the point where we put earthly things above God, placing them at the focus of our existence,

Outer beauty; how we look, how we dress, houses, cars, money.

Good times; Partying, getting drunk, getting high, having sex.

We’ve pushed them in because we think they’ll make us happy,

But in the process of pushing them in, we’ve managed to leave God out, left in the background.

But what is it all for? This happiness?

It’s only but temporary, because compared to eternity, it’s all but fleeting.

We were only created for the Glory of God; our entire existence should surround Him, because He is our source of life.

But yeah, we were all given a choice,

We can either be disrespectful and spit in God’s face, and say, well I’ll live how I want,

Or, we could give back to our creator what really isn’t ours, and live how we’re supposed to.

 

Do we truly understand, embrace and appreciate what it is we have been given?

I mean, what really is this life that we have, and when I say life, please don’t be mistaken, I don’t mean the breath in our nostrils,

For we are more than just physical body, we are indeed souls.

So how are we able to have this re-birth in Christ, this newness, if I can be a little more persist…

Well, let me take you back to the beginning, when life, truly became life.

In my opinion, it wasn’t when each of us was born,

No, but instead, when one powerful, history changing event, Jesus Christ, was born, and there, life was formed.

Because what was birthed on this earth two thousand years ago, was birthed in you and me,

The foundation laid, salvation, our hearts renewed afresh, so we’re free to be, saved.

You see, this world could’ve continued in the mess it was, as we were all just filthy rags,

Destined to be imprisoned in eternal damnation,

But praise God, a provision was made, a light was sent to this earth, a way was made, for all man-kind to be saved.

Now, are we going to take advantage, or are we going to throw away a divine opportunity at fulfillment?

Don’t waste your life.

With all that has been going on in the world I thought it necessary to encourage us to refocus on our Creator, the one who gives life, and brings light to our darkness. He is the only one who can save us and deliver us from the craziness in this world. I encourage you to read all of Psalm 91 when you get the chance. God bless you.
